Holiday Beaches in Spain
Beautiful Beaches
As you’d expect when you come to Spain, there are plenty of beaches for you and the kids to enjoy. We know what makes a good beach for the youngsters though, and we know what our kids enjoy most. That’s why we always direct guests to the safest and most child-friendly beach in the vicinity – and it’s only 45 minutes away. Take note – everyone loves a Spanish beach during the summer so everywhere will be popular!
Playa Lisa at Santa Pola
Distance: 30 miles (Approx. 45minutes)
Website
We choose Playa Lisa 99% of the time and the kids love it. We go here as the sea is definitely safer here. There are fewer waves, fewer under currents and the sea is shallower for a greater distance than on many of the surrounding beaches so it’s a great choice for little ones. Santa Pola itself is a lovely town with a great selection of bars and restaurants many of them along the edge of the beach. There is also a castle and small aquarium. The resort is frequented mainly by the Spanish so one thing you can guarantee is that the food in the restaurants will be good. One word of advice, the whole of Spain is on holiday in August and they all go to the beach! Any beach in Spain will be extremely busy during August so unless you get there early you may struggle to get space.
